Jonathan, a co-owner and Principal of Woodblock, has over 15 years of design experience. A licensed architect in eight states, his portfolio spans multiple project types, including commercial office and retail, hospitality, and multifamily; his recent focus is on community and non-profit clients.

But what is the difference between a super tiger and a regular tiger?

You know, we think a super tiger is likely just Jonathan when we’re approaching a full moon, and then a regular tiger is Jonathan when mercury is in retrograde. Does that makes sense? Totally, right. No further questions, we basically killed it right out of the gate.

Ok, give us the deets. Who is he really though?

Beyond striving to be the next Tiger King, Jonathan is one of the Principal Owners of Woodblock, carries over 10 years of design and emulates the three E’s: Experienced, Energetic and Enthusiastic. He’s a licensed architect with in depth knowledge in the retail, office and cannabis space.

Enough about the biz, let’s talk golf baby.

Look, we know skill sets aren’t the sexiest thing to read about but they are qualifying so before we talk golf, let us just also tell you how Jonathan’s strongest design assets lie in sustainable systems integrations, space planning and in envelope design and detailing. At least that’s what he says, but if you ask anyone else we bet you they would say Jonathan’s greatest strength is in his client service. He is always readily available, makes his clients a priority and delivers on time, which we definitely can’t say about our nightly Postmates orders.

Excuse you, we asked about the golf.

Ok, ok. Jonathan loves to play golf. Is that what you wanted to hear? We won’t say he plays it well, but he has clubs and presumably the high fashion golf gloves to convince all the right people he knows what he’s doing. So if you’re looking for a golf outing, holler at your boy. He also said he enjoys woodworking, but we’re still yet to see even a carved spoon, so we’ll ask you to call him on that one when you have the time.

Did you say he was licensed?

We didn’t but since you asked… OR, HI, PA, IL, CO, NJ and almost TX & WA. And while it’s not licensure, he does speak Japanese fluently and can hit you with some stellar sushi recommendations in town.
